About our Sponsor

We are proud to feature Tocayo Taqueria & Tequila – Bethel Park as a key sponsor. Located at 1001 Cool Springs Drive in Bethel Park, this vibrant taqueria and tequila bar fuses authentic Mexican flavors with a lively, modern dining experience. With a menu that spans creative tacos, shareable antojitos, and a thoughtfully curated tequila and mezcal bar, Tocayo offers more than just a meal—it invites guests into a vibrant culinary journey. The space is designed to be both welcoming and energetic, making it an ideal destination for casual gatherings, celebrations, and memorable nights out.
Behind the concept is restaurateur Juan Grimaldo, whose passion for bringing bold, authentic Mexican cuisine to Pittsburgh has shaped a notable restaurant group including Tocayo and its sister venues. From launching the Tocayo food truck—voted “Best New Food Truck” by readers of the Pittsburgh City Paper, to expanding into full-service locations such as this Bethel Park site, Juan’s leadership reflects a dedication to quality, community, and culinary innovation. We extend our sincere thanks to Juan and the entire Tocayo team for their generous support and for making this sponsorship possible.

About our Event Partner

We are honored to partner with Salsa Pittsburgh — founded in October 2000 by Jeff Shirey and his wife Colleen Shirey. Over the past 25 years the organization has become a cornerstone of Pittsburgh’s Latin dance community, offering weekly classes, vibrant socials and large-scale workshop weekends that bring in international salsa professionals.
Jeff and Colleen discovered salsa in the mid-1990s while listening to a Latin band in Pittsburgh, an experience that ignited a lifelong passion for the music and movement. As high school teachers by day, they transformed that passion into a full-time second vocation — teaching, DJing, organizing events and building Salsa Pittsburgh into both a dance-education resource and community gathering place.
As we welcome Salsa Pittsburgh as our event partner, we celebrate not just a business but a mission driven by rhythm, connection and community. Jeff’s leadership and the Shireys’ dedication to sharing the joy of salsa across Greater Pittsburgh have helped create an inclusive space where people of all backgrounds can express themselves through dance. We extend our sincere thanks to Jeff, Colleen and the entire Salsa Pittsburgh team for their unwavering support and partnership.
