Miguel F. Alban, Senior Vice President & Director of Multicultural Banking will discuss how process will break down barriers for all businesses, especially the minority small businesses who were the least likely to receive funding in the last round. This program is one of only a handful of hybrid fintech models that supported the SBA’s initial round of Paycheck Protection Program loans to quickly get economic relief to small businesses across the country. By working with select fintech partners, over 100,000 SBA-approved loans were processed – fifth highest of all lenders in the nation – and provide an aggregate value of over $5 billion to small businesses without discrimination in loan size, business size, race, ethnicity, or any other biased.
