The Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Victor Diaz as the recipient of the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award, a recognition made possible through the support of Bud Light.

The NFL and the Hispanic Heritage Foundation (HHF) have partnered to launch the NFL Hispanic Heritage Leadership Awards Presented by Bud Light during the 2011 celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. The awards recognize the contributions of Hispanic leaders in each NFL market.

The Steelers will honor Diaz on October 16 at their Hispanic Heritage game when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Diaz is the President of Videotek Construction in Pittsburgh and also serves as CEO of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PMAHCC). In this capacity, he focuses his efforts on helping Pittsburgh maximize its opportunity to grow business in one of the largest and fastest-growing business development sectors. PMAHCC works with local organizations, such as the Pittsburgh Regional Alliance, to help bring foreign investors from Spain to the region to explore commercial investment opportunities. Diaz is actively involved with the Steelers in efforts to attract tourism and a fan base from Mexico as well as helping to grow the brand in Mexico.

With support from Bud Light, each award recipient will select an organization of their choice that serves the local Hispanic community to receive a $2,000 donation.
